Punjab Government Transfers 6 Senior IAS Officers in Fresh Administrative Reshuffle

Punjab Government has transferred six IAS officers in a fresh administrative reshuffle aimed at improving governance, departmental coordination, and administrative efficiency across key departments.

The Punjab Government has issued transfer and posting orders for six senior IAS officers in a fresh administrative reshuffle aimed at strengthening governance and improving administrative efficiency across departments. Officials concerned have been directed to assume charge of their new assignments immediately.

According to official orders issued by the Department of Personnel, the latest Punjab IAS Transfers are part of the government’s routine administrative exercise intended to streamline governance, improve coordination between departments, and ensure effective implementation of public welfare policies.

Among the major appointments, senior IAS officer Neelima has been appointed as Secretary, Home Affairs. Earlier, she was serving as Chief Executive of the Punjab Energy Development Agency (PEDA).

IAS officer Sakshi Sawhney has been posted as Chief Administrator of the Punjab Urban Development Authority (PUDA) and has also been given additional charge as Director, Town and Country Planning.

Sandeep Kumar has been appointed as Chief Administrator of the Greater Mohali Area Development Authority (GMADA), while Abhijeet Kaplish has been assigned additional responsibility as Chief Executive of the Punjab Energy Development Agency along with duties related to Mining and Geology.

Manisha Rana has been appointed as Managing Director of the Pepsu Road Transport Corporation (PRTC), Patiala under the Transport Department. Meanwhile, Latif Ahmed has been given additional charge as Chief Executive Officer of the Punjab Waqf Board along with responsibilities in the Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Department.

Officials stated that the reshuffle is aimed at improving governance standards, accelerating departmental coordination, and ensuring efficient delivery of public services across Punjab. Administrative reshuffles involving IAS officers are periodically carried out to strengthen policy execution and operational management in key government departments.

The reshuffle also included transfers and postings of several PCS officers across districts including Amritsar, Ludhiana, SAS Nagar, Pathankot, Hoshiarpur, and Jalandhar. Officers have been assigned responsibilities such as SDMs, Additional Deputy Commissioners, Regional Transport Officers, and municipal administration officials.
